Daily Journal Continued March 29,1998 William Thomas Thompson The need for understanding of what holiness really means. Life is wonderful if we live it as God designed life even with the sin of Adam and Eve in the Garden. Jesus Christ died that we may be saved from sin but lives today and lets me be His witness. Let me cry aloud the message of eternal life as a child of God. Why do men preach and why do men teach this truth and why do men care about the souls of mankind? Because God planted in us divine caring as God is and does. There is a light we see even with our eyes closed that spells glory to God and an innate knowledge of the truth,a knowledge of right and wrong,we being a product of God. We are chosen from our Mothers womb to stand for truth and right. We carry a commission from God almighty as a soldier of the cross,a servant to the end with a royal banner to represent. God knows our name and our face,our voice when we call,He knows all and sees all like even the bat of every eye. Praise His name. When I get up in the morning,I cannot wait to get back down on my knees again and cry out to God. This communication and fellowship with God is the beginning of a right day the same as eating the right food,to seek God and praise him daily and continuously is the only way to go. King David said"My cup runneth over"Psalms- 23-5. When ones heart is made clean and holy sanctified,then God will anoint us with the Holy Ghost as promised by Jesus when He ascended up to Heaven. St.John 14-15"If ye love me,keep my com- mandments.16-And I(Jesus)will pray the Father,and He shall give you another comforter,that will abide with you forever;17-Even the Spirit of Truth,Whom the world cannot receive,because it see- th Him not,neither knoweth Him:but ye know Him;for He dwelleth with you,and shall be in you.18-I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.19-Yet a little while,and the world seeth me no more;but ye see me:because I live,ye live also.20-At that day ye shall know that I am in my father,and ye in me,and I in you." This will be too late for the unbelievers. May we believe and re- ceive the full Gospel including the power of the Spirit of God. Donot cut short those blessings the Lord has instore for you(us). When the Anabaptist came over to America in the 16 hundreds,they were being persecuted something awful by the church of England. Henry VIII made himself head of the church of England in 1534,the Anabaptist began in 1525 by Conrad Grebel advocating a personal religion and adult baptism with separation of church and state. This group in the Netherlands adopted the name Mennonites from leader Menno Simons. Todays Baptist Church stems from John Smyth who broke with the English church in the early 1600s. I grew up in a Baptist Church and know them well. When the Pentecostals had prayer meeting in our home,they would through respect address the Baptist as the good Baptist. Most Baptist limit their teaching on the Holy Spirit saying you get it when you get saved. We have so many doctrines today that divide people and rob them of the glory of God in each personal lives. Why be cheated out of all He has in store for us? As a child I thought religion was so awful that no one in the church ever smiled,I felt I had done something wrong being there. The Holy Spirit is a gift from God and is to be greatly desired and never feared. The Holy Spirit fills only a sanctified life. O Lord,reveal thy word to us with understanding.
